Check your Visa gift card balance
Free, secure, instant balance lookup for any Visa gift card.
Visa gift cards are prepaid cards accepted anywhere Visa is — online, in stores, at the pump. The balance lives on the card itself; once it's spent, the card is done. Checking what's left takes a few seconds and never requires registration or personal details.

Troubleshooting
Common Visa issues & fixes
Card shows $0 or 'not found' right after purchase
Activation sometimes lags by a few minutes, or the cashier didn't scan it at purchase. Wait 30 minutes and try again — if still $0, take the card and your receipt back to the store where you bought it.
Balance is lower than expected
Restaurants and gas stations often pre-authorize more than the final charge (commonly $1 or $99 at the pump). The hold drops off in 24–72 hours and the real balance returns.
Card is declined at checkout
Most common reasons: the transaction amount exceeds the card balance (split payment may not be allowed), or the merchant requires a ZIP code you haven't registered. Visa gift cards often accept any ZIP.
The card expired
Visa gift cards typically expire 5–7 years from issue. After expiry the funds are usually still recoverable — contact the issuer on the back of the card for a replacement.
