Each happy gift card has three pieces of info you need to check the balance. Here's exactly where to look.
Card number
16 digitsThe 16-digit number is on the front of the Happy card. Themed Happy cards sometimes have colorful backgrounds — the digits are always clearly printed over the design.
Expiry date
MM/YYMM/YY format, printed on the front below or next to the card number.
Security code (CVV)
3 digits3-digit security code on the back of the card.

Common Happy issues & fixes
Balance hasn't loaded yet
Blackhawk activations are typically immediate, but reserve a few minutes after purchase for the network to sync. If the card is hours old and still $0, contact the retailer with your receipt.
Card declined at specific merchants
A few merchants don't accept prepaid Visa/Mastercard cards for subscriptions or recurring billing. If a merchant declines the card, try a different merchant or a different card type.
Lost the card
The balance is tied to the card number, not you personally. Call the customer-service number printed on the card (you kept a photo, right?) or check your original retailer receipt for card-recovery options.
